Its that time of year again!

We're all scrambling around, trying to meet our holiday obligations while staying afloat. This year is a particularly hard hitter, because of the pandemic. The country shut down, & left most of us struggling to make ends meet.

I put together a few of my favorite DIY gifts, so that anyone struggling this year still had a chance to pull Christmas off!

I chose gifts you can personalize, so you can get more "bang for your buck". This also makes any gift THAT much more special. Taking the gift from a $5.00 gift, to priceless! I started making my own DIY gifts years ago, out of necessity. The only way I could afford to give gifts to my loved ones, was to think outside the box. To find creative ways to even be able to give gifts at all, let alone gifts that people actually wanted. All while spending as little money as possible.

I chose to share these projects for a few reasons...

👉They are very simple, & require no previous crafting experience.

👉They are dirt cheap. Costing $2-5 dollars total, to make a personalized gift, that would have likely cost you $40 online.

👉They are among the most popular gifts on wish lists this season!

1. DIY Personalized Tumblers:

Supplies:

  1. Tumbler Cup ($1.00-$5.00/Dollar Stores)

  2. Letter Stickers ($2.00/Dollar General)

  3. Mod Podge Seal ($1.00/Dollar Tree)

Directions:

  1. Using the letter stickers, place them on the tumbler to personalize. (*If you lay a sticker crooked, or wish to reposition..Use a knife to peel up one of the edges of the sticker. Then peel off carefully.)

  2. After you are satisfied with the placement, you can seal the stickers to make them "dishwasher safe" by using a layer of clear mod podge gloss over the outside of the tumbler.

  3. Let dry for 24 hours before use.

#2: Personalized Wall Sign:

Supplies:

•5x7 Photo Frame ($1.00/Dollar Tree)

•Letter Stickers ($2.00/Dollar General)

•Background Paper (Cut to Size)

Directions:

  1. The pink ombre background i used, actually came out of the letter stickers package. I recycled it, & used it as the background. For a different background, you can use something as simple as a piece of white paper (to be REALLY price conscious!) Or colored/scrapbook paper. Whatever paper you choose for the background, just cut to size, to fit your frame.

  2. Once your background is cut to size, place the stickers to personalize.

  3. Once all your stickers are in place, go ahead and put it in the frame, & secure the back.

Custom "Home" Sign (With Exact Coordinates of Your Home!)

Supplies:

•8×10 Photo Frame ($1.00/Dollar Tree)

•Letter Stickers (Or Paint Marker if Your Confident Enough to Hand Draw the Lettering!)

•White Paper (Cut to Size)

Directions:

  1. Start by inputting the address you are pin pointing to the online coordinate converter, which I've linked here👉https://www.latlong.net/convert-address-to-lat-long.html

  2. Lay your letter stickers to the paper, or draw your letters if that's what you chose.

  3. Once you are satisfied with the stickers, then use a black sharpie to write the coordinates to complete the sign. (You can also print the letters & numbers, if you have a printer available to you)

  4. Frame your sign!

Personalized "Stash Jar" For the Beloved Smokers

Supplies:

  1. Glass Jar/Container ($1.00/Dollar Tree)

  2. Letter Stickers ($1.00/Dollar Store)

  3. Green Permanent Marker ($1.00)

Directions:

  1. Use the letter stickers to personalize.

  2. The green marijuana leaf is optional, but if you decide to add that detail, do this BEFORE YOU PLACE THE STICKERS.

  3. If you wish to make the stash jar waterproof, apply a thin coat of "Mod Podge Gloss", which you can pick up at the Dollar Tree for $1.00!
