DIY Face Scrub for Dry Skin
Its that time of year, the cold weather makes our skin dry and flaky. Especially on the face, because it's always exposed to the cold harsh weather.
Here is a quick + easy DIY facial scrub, especially good for dry skin!
I actually just used this scrub this morning. It took 2 seconds to throw the ingredients in a bowl, and I applied it in the bath. Before the scrub my skin was very dry and flaky. So I massaged it into my skin extra long, and when I got out applied a moisturizer. And there was a very noticable difference!
There are only 2 ingredients in this scrub, that you probably already have in the kitchen.
Olive oil + Brown sugar.
Olive
BENEFITS OF OLIVE OIL FOR THE SKIN:
It is rich in vitamins and antioxidants and it deeply cleanses the skin, removes impurities and leaves the epidermis glowing.
Thanks to the antioxidants, olive oil is one of the main ingredient used in the preparation of anti-aging cosmetics.
It is rich in protein, minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids which are beneficial for dehydrated skin.
Therefore, the mask containing olive oil and brown sugar will be able to successfully remove all the dead cells and leave your face young and shiny.
BENEFITS OF BROWN SUGAR:
Exfoliating with a sugar facial scrub relaxes the mind with its intoxicating smell. Loaded with glycolic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid which is so important for healthy skin), which is often a main ingredient in more expensive products. The naturally occurring glycolic acid in sugar moisturizes, conditions and protects from toxins.
